I bought a program called Camtasia Studio which is used to create and edit videos. It looks like an amazing product, very easy to use with many cool features. I want to make some training videos describing how to do different techy-type things in Second Life. I have web pages with megabytes of screen captures and thousands of words describing how to do things, but in the end there is no substitute for showing someone how it looks on the screen when it’s happening.
It’s a five-minute video, fairly simple, with large arrows pointing to the places where you need to click. I didn’t intend it to be “ringslinging for dummies,” but was just testing how the different arrows and text boxes looked when they appeared and disappeared. There are several verbal errors that would be edited out in a more polished product, but this is just a test so I don’t care. Here’s the video:
